Shah Rukh Khan’s name sells not only in Bollywood but also on television. The latest data from TAM Media Research reveal he endorsed the highest number of brands during 2008 on television, closely followed by India’s cricket captain, MS Dhoni.

He currently endorses 39 brands, including Pepsi, Hyundai, Airtel, Videocon, Sun Feast, Tag Heuer, Dish TV and Mayur Suitings. And, gets Rs 1-1.5 crore to be present at any function in India, according to event management agencies.

The brand endorsement business is around Rs 1,000 crore, including star appearances and events, according to Manish Porwal, CEO of celebrity management company, Percept Talent Management.

The actress, who’s been touring the globe to promote Pink Panther 2, has been listed as India’s most bankable star in Hollywood by Forbes, pushing down the Khans in the ratings of the best bet for a film’s financial success. She is among six Bollywood actors in the new list of Hollywood’s Most Valuable Actors. Other Indians on the list compiled by the American mag are Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Irrfan Khan and Hrithik Roshan.

Although at 387th position in the global list of as many as 1,411 actors from across the world, Aishwarya is ranked highest among all Indian actors and is the only female actor from the country who made it to this club. The list also includes Indian American actor Kal Penn, whose films include The Namesake. At 476th position, he is ranked higher than all the Bollywood actors, except Aishwarya.

All’s not well between Bollywood Badshah SRK and King Akshay Kumar as the two were seen sharing cold vibes at Preity Zinta’s birthday party.

According to a secret source, Akshay was keen to leave the party before SRK arrived.

A source says, “The minute Shah Rukh stepped in, Akshay chose to leave. The few minutes that the two were together, they avoided each other. They greeted one another very reluctantly but after that no words were exchanged between the two. Since there were only a few guests present at the party at the time, the awkwardness was very obvious.”

The duo were asked about their dushmani but they decided to remain silent.
